It's not that I don't trust their products. They just aren't for me. But I've been following along with their meal ideas with a friend and I like the nutrition side of their plan.

Obviously, you don't have an answer to help me, but I'm hoping that others might have an idea.

If you do not trust the supplements and other products, why would you be interested in their eating plans?

I'd suggest seeking another program for the results you need. Sparkpeople itself has a few options. :)

I understand this and don't use their products. But, I am following their guidelines for eating. I'm just looking for recommendations for cookbooks to follow along. For example, they recommend no white flour or sugar, lower sodium, lean meats, etc. Is this just clean eating, paleo, what?

Any program that advocates "cleanses" is to be avoided, I'm afraid. Your body isn't a toilet, and it can't be flushed; products which claim to "cleanse" your body are incapable of doing what they claim, for the most part.

They claim to "remove toxins" that your body can't, but that's based on science that simply isn't true at all! Your body doesn't need any help flushing toxins from itself... you have a liver and kidneys that do that. :)

A friend of mine introduced me to Advocare and I did the cleanse twice and follow their guidelines for eating, but I don't take the supplements, shakes or any other of their products. Does anyone know what type of diet Advocare follows? I'm wanting to find an actual cookbook that I can use with recipes that follow along with the program. I use Pinterest and it has helped, but I like actual cookbooks that I can flip through.
