YES, I heard there were concerns with cross contaminations. It just seems as if its too much to keep up with but, thanks so much for the information.
Hope your daughter is doing well.
Well, off to find the list of gluten free foods, wish me luck!

Gluten-free CAN be very confusing at first. I went through this with my daughter as well. First of all - you will have to stay away from wheat, barley, malt, rye, and other gluten containing grains. Rice and Corn are OK. If you stick with "whole foods" such as meats, veg, fruits, and dairy, you will be OK.

Your daughter will need her own jar of peanut butter, jelly, mayo, etc to prevent cross-contamination.

There are many GF foods out there, you do have to check labels very carefully. For instance, most soy sauce contains wheat. Feel free to message me if I can help you more..

I quit eating wheat products and that solved my gluten issue. I read "Wheat Belly" by William Davis MD and it made a lot of since why I had bowel issues. I stay with lean meats and fresh produce.

I'm starting this program with my daughter Ashlee. She has just been informed by her doctor to start a gluten free diet. We haven't a clue as to how we should even start planning our meals. We have both been struggling with weight and no longer want to wait or make excuses. We have begin to walk 45 mins, and swim at least twice a week.
But, our main problem is meal planning and knowing what not to eat so we don't feel like a hamster on a wheel.

Please help,

Carolyn K.
