I do enjoy Coffee, so I do my with flavored creamer.

I do black with a T of powdered non-dairy creamer when I drink coffee. Honestly, since its so hot out, coffee is the last thing I want.Now that I've got my eating more under control, I'm trying to really limit chemically-developed sweeteners.I used to have 3-4 diet cokes a day, now I might have 1 a week. Maybe try using less and less of the sweetener over the course of a few weeks. I know some people love stevia--an all natural sweetener that I believe is calorie free.

So I feel my coffee habits are better than most. I have about 2-3 cups throughout the work day. I just get coffee from the pot and then add a little sweetner. No 300+ starbucks nightmares for me. I normally add a packet of splenda to each cup, I used to do 3 or 4, but found that upset my stomach so I try to limit myself to 1, sometimes 2 if I want it tasting really good. My question is would it be better to switch to adding a teaspoon of sugar? or should I focus on being able to just be able to drink it black. It wouldn't be too hard to force myself to do that for a week and then get used to it.
Basically is splenda or sugar better to add to coffee? I was worried about actual sugar and the whole insulin spike thing I hear about maybe leading to me wanting a snack in the afternoon. Or should I just go straight black?
