Are you working with your dctors and a registered dietician to get the appropriate nutrition for these two diseases? Do not follow the nutrient recommendations on the SP set-up because they are not intended for someone with Non-A C. And your diabetes must be factored into your nutrition, just as your need to monitor salt and protein are important.
The information available here can help you in many ways! Do dig into the "Spark Diet" and it's stages to lay a solid foundation. To become familiar with the tools and set up your SparkPage, read through all the set-up advice in the "Getting Started Guide"; a link to it is on the bottom of the right column of this and most other SP pages. Note that the tools here like the nutrition tracker can be tailored to meet your nutritional needs. www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/nutrition_edit .asp Again, get your nutrient numbers from yourdoctor or registered dietician. Ask for ALL nutrients. Folic acid, protein, ... all their recommended limitations and minimums.
Social interaction gives a wonderful boost just when needed: Take care to join one or two solid teams for person-to-person support. Select teams after you study them; often an age-group team can be helpful or one that has focus on a particular illness. But you can also get great support by using the site's tools and articles and using the message board. Explore the site and decide how to customize your use of it to get the best from it.
You have solid support at home, Patty, along with your faith; these are gifts of incredible value. If your husband uses the site with you, you may both benefit! Together.

Hi all, I don't know if this is the right place for me. I was diagnosed with stage 4 non alcohol cirrhosis in dec.& type 2 diabetes.I'm trying to eat right for both .AnywayI have great drs.,& dietitian. I have a great husband.He has MS.So we help each other. My extended family is wonderful. My faith keeps me strong. So am I in the right place?Patty
