I use a heart monitor to log cardiac exercise and that mainly shows within 20 or 50 cals of the s/ware.

I would check your set-up and see

Because you are working out against the resistance of the machine, rather than your own bodyweight, online trackers such as Spark tend to be less accurate for equipment like the elliptical, as they don't know the speed and resistance settings.

Does the machine not have its own calorie calculator?

Found it! my HEIGHT was wrong! hahaha, such a silly little mistake... thank you very much Nancy! you just gave me the hint and I just thought... mmm, maybe the weight is right but the height is not!

Hmm, I just plugged in 15 minutes for the elliptical and it came up with 120 calories. Are you sure your weight is correct? You may want to go to your My Trackers on your Start page and verify your weight.

Feeling really silly here... I have been using the fitness tracker for a week, and I have come to the conclusion that I MUST be doing something wrong. I have a nice workout in which I train both cardio and strength. My routine is cardio - strength - some more cardio - strenght, etc. I always start with 15 min elliptical training and go from there. Here is my problem: when I add the exercise, I can only write "elliptical trainer" and then select and input 15 min. I do train with quite a lot of resistance on the machine, I have quite a workout and after the 15 minutes I am REALLY sweating and with a heart rate at my 80%. But the Spark software tells me I have burnt 30 calories! how can that be? I do pull-ups for 5 minutes and I but almost 20, but 15 min of high level elliptical is only 30 calories? I really think there is something wrong there... maybe I am just not inputing things correctly?
