Your nutrition goals are based on your calorie burned goal and your weight loss goal. If you are doing more or less fitness activity than you have your goal set, you can follow the instructions on this page to update that goal to be more accurate to your current level of fitness activity: www.sparkpeople.com/community/help_answer. asp?id=89 .
As for your weight, it does not change anything for your nutrition goals unless you go in and update it. We recommend updating your weight goal page every 10-15 pounds you lose. When you do this though, you may or may not see a change - it depends on your current weight and where you are in relation to your weight goal in time.
To update your weight goal page:
Roll your mouse over “My Trackers” in the top left corner of the screen. Click on “Start,” which is the first link down. You’ll now see your Start page. On the left side of your Start page, you'll see the "my Goals & Progress" section. Towards the bottom of "my Goals & Progress," you'll see your weight loss goal. Click on the "Change Goal" link next to your weight goal. Make sure all information on the page is correct. Click "Save Your Changes" at the bottom of the page. (Clicking save changes on that page will force the system to update your nutrition goals accordingly, but like I mentioned above, you may or may not see a change.)
I do not seem to be losing and am wondering if the data I originally put into the system is still correct. I mean perhaps my needs have changed. Am I more or less active now? ALso for future as my weight changes my calories needed will go down. How is this adjustment made?
