before you put the food in your mouth, sit down and track whatever portion you have measured out. Actually counting it out and tracking helps me not snack when i am getting snacks for the kids.

could you cut up some veggies to grab instead?

Have to agree with the others, you just have to learn to stop doing it but here's another suggestion, take something you typically grab when you're in the kitchen, look up the calorie content, look up how many jumping jacks, steps or whatever exercise you fancy. Next time you're in the kitchen do the require exercise to burn the calories before you pick up the food.

Just do it and make it a habit not to eat in the kitchen.

Just STOP. Seriously. I know you think it's hard to stop, but it's not. Nobody is forcing the food into your mouth. If you walk in there and catch yourself reaching for something, tell yourself NO, and walk away. You can try all the tricks etc that you want, but in the end it comes down to teaching yourself self control.

Why not put up motivational words and inspiring pics on your fridge. Maybe a list of reasons why you want to lose weight and be healthy. I would certaintly try to uncover why you binge are you not eating enough through out the day, is it out of boredom, is it depression? etc.

Why are you eating? Is there easily visible, low-quality food where you can easily see it? Are you eating enough the rest of the day?

Every time I go in the kitchen, I eat. It doesn't matter if I'm not hungry. I even find myself binging. It's hard to stay out of the kitchen, because I always have to walk through it when getting around the house. Any suggestions?
