I find I lose if I stick to no more than 1400 calories a day. I'm 5'3. As you can see from my signiture I'm still unaware of how many calories I can eat to maintain a weight loss. I do sometimes allow some extra calories if I've worked out but usually I end up feeling it was a waste of calories burned.

In order for me to lose I keep it at no more than 1200. Calories burned from exercise I call a bonus.

Right now, I am trying to drop 20 I put back on after losing 80. I get 1750 to around 2100 per day because I exercise. So yes, I adjust for exercise by entering my expected weekly calorie burn into my fitness page. My original evil diet plan didn't allow me enough calories so I eventually went into starvation mode and it was miserable.
