I've done Pure Barre about 5 times a week since I joined Sparkpeople in February. I researched it extensively and found some people who used monitors and said they burned anywhere from 400-500 calories per 55 minutes class. Based on that, I logged each workout at 400, 450, or 500 calories based on whether I felt it was a more or less exertional workout that day. I know it's nowhere near an exact science, but it just gives me an idea what I'm doing and something to log. Since I don't really base any other calculations of calories burned, I don't worry about it being any more accurate than that. I'm about to start Crossfit and am going to have the same problem all over again!
