I've always heard you should subtract at least 10% from the cardio machines if you enter your height, weight, and age to the machine. I tend not to eat back my calories, so I go more by time than calories and avoid the confusion! :)

When I got to the gym and use their cardio equipment the calories burned on their machines differ to what this site says I have burned - can you change the calories burned on each exercise (as I can't see how to do that)? And has anyone else come across that?
