Consistently under does not provide the vitamins and minerals your body needs to function properly.

You're not supposed to be trying to starve yourself into fast weight loss.
You're supposed to be trying to readjust your lifestyle into something you can live with, that keeps you healthy.

If you're talking about one day where you're a little under, no. If you're talking about a trend of always being under, yes. Your range is set up to provide your body with the nutrition it needs, to fuel your workouts and also keep your body functioning properly. If you're routinely under, it will adversely affect your weight loss-- eating less will not help you lose more. You may even find that your weight loss stops.
