My parents live at the N.J. shore, too, so I know how tough a month it's been for all of you. Hope all is going better now and God Bless all of you! Hope your holidays are still joyous! xoxo

Just an observation I had when I left work today, at what's usually the height of rush hour. I was already dreading the traffic and supermarket crowds for when I picked up some (inevitably) last minute things, just like every other year. But tonight, the store and the roads were pretty calm--I was surprised.

It did make me reflect though--after Hurricane Sandy here on the shore, maybe people really are being less frenzied and more down-to-earth... I can hope that is one blessing to come from the misfortune.

The true test may be this Friday...
