As a rough guide, moderate exercise (eg. walking) will burn about 6 calories per minute on a sustained basis.
More vigorous exercise will burn about 10 calories per minute. A fit person who is really pushing themselves might burn about 12 calories per minute. Figures above 14 per minute should be regarded with a great deal of skepticism.
These figures hold true across most forms of cardio exercise. So go with 6-8 calories/min if you think you were working out at the moderate end of the scale, and 8-10 if you feel you were working out more vigorously.

Thank you both for your responses and helping. I've recently made some switches like stopping the soda and gluten (for over 1-2 weeks, which I lost a few lbs. during that time) and then starting to workout the last few days. I ended up losing 2 pounds per day for 2 days, so I became concerned. --I only had roughly 16 lbs. to lose....now, it's just 12.
Trying to figure out if and where my calories are way too low. (Beside the soda and gluten, my diet has been very "clean" and free of junk for quite a long time.) I have been trying like mad to get up to 1200-1500 calories. I've been hitting just at or slightly under 1200 calories. I'm currently at about 4 meals per day, aiming for 5-6 and usually having my 8 glasses of water (as well as unsweetened coffee, tea and juice). I can't get over how hard it is to fill in the calories for those sodas and the bread and pasta. So, I am guessing I am at least needing to add 300 more calories, since some of the weight could very well be water. This is a first for me actually calculating calories. 0.o

I use Cardio Dancing for Jazzercise and videos similar. I'm currently doing Focus T25 and I use Aerobics High Impact to record that, except on circuit days when I know it's less aerobic and more strength. But they have pretty similar burn. Around 400 cals per hour based on my weight. I'm curious about using an HRM, because I know I work hard and I sweat like a pig, so this might be an underestimate. Then again, the fitter you are, the less your body has to work. So I'm not sure.

Does anyone have a specific formula or device that works well with figuring out the calories burned during workouts? --Especially, with dance/workout like Shaun T's Rockin' Body? I tried looking, but can't find this particular video on the list.
