I have 7 children and out of all 7 only one is chubby. He's my little carb lover (I had to pass something to him, otherwise he's a carbon copy of his dad). I've beenw orking with him on nutrition but he never has any desire to be active and when he is he sort of half does it.
I decided that I was going to train for a 5K and started the C25K program (couch to 5K) last Thursday. We've been doing it every other day (you're only supposed to work it 3 days a week) and it's been awesome!
The first day he hated it and me for making him do it (this was while we were jogging). I had to keep motivating him to keep going (which in turn motivated me to not give up because holy cow that was not easy first time around). Once we were done with the jogging and were on the cool down walk I told him how awesome we did and he was so proud of himself! He held my hand all the way home. :)
Since then every day he asks if we're going to go jogging. It's special bonding time for him and me. I love it! Plus it's getting easier!
