We all have various things that we need to do to maintain our health, obtain our fitness goals or improve our lifestyle. I will be working on improving 6 area of my life that need constant attention.

I am giddy with anticipation, this week has been a crazy wild mix. The low point was my cycling accident. It was quite painful but it goes with the territory. I clipped out but moved my foot and somehow clipped back in again and I went down. It left me with nasty little gash that is healing quite nicely...blessing ya. The high point is a blossom that is ready to fully bloom. It really is all good and I am ready for another week.
We have dusted of winter, embraced spring and now we are heading toward summer. Well, now is an excellent time to refocus, regain confidence and obtain the objectives you have always wanted.
The second quarter is all about taking care of unfinished business and moving forward to victorious results. Feel free to join me as I learn from past mistakes, implement what I have learned and use it to make my vision a reality.
April is a month of restoration, renewal and rewards so lets get started in making the best version of yourself even better.
I have been playing with my greatest expectations as I continually feed what I do want, which automatically starves what I don't want. The struggle is real but the satisfaction makes the sacrifice worthy.
To all of you who experienced total victory last week...rock on! To all of you who had some good moments mixed with bad.....keep improving on your best. Oh and to anyone who had one of those I feel like a total failure weeks all I can say is In the struggle don�t quit, in the failure don�t give up, in the moment don�t succumb to negative pressure. Refuse to cling to doubts that it cannot be done, hold strong to your conviction. You can do what needs to be done.

Today was my first serious cycling session of the season ( translated hill training) Seriously by the time I was finished I was exhausted, tired and sore. It was another one of those getting my butt kicked in the cave of pain sessions.

Okay my granny panties weren�t exactly tied in a knot but... I was momentarily attacked by a strong delusion of stupidity. The moment faded and I am better now. Lethal daggers of destructive thoughts were blow torching my mind this morning. Thoughts of procrastination tried to seduce my mind while appealing to the laziness of my flesh. A massive spiritual transformation is bubbling forth as my body and mind struggle to bow in humble submission.
Today I had a well needed reality check, you know the kind where you listen to the truth Unedited, raw and real. The painful but necessary truth the kind that helps you grow. I call it the bitter pill truth. The bitter pill truth is usually hard to swallow but it heals, restores and propels you forward. It is necessary for optimal growth and besides the consequences for blatant stupidity is simply too painful.
my prayer for today is to continue to press through and make it happen.
wow, what a long and exhausting day, trying to make it happen as February quickly slips away. My aim is to make all my goals for the month right now I am a little behind so I am bursting every move to make it happen. Pray for me people

Tomorrow we begin phase two of 1st quarter training. That means my caloric intake/ macronutrients will be cycled according to my energy expenditure. I will continue to fuel on the foods that accelerate the shredding process. Training is still a two headed beast, I need endurance but I don't want to lose any lean muscle mass so I will continue to balance that delicate type rope.
I tell you this is going to be a victorious month everyone. 8 days in and I am feeling good..note I got the entire day off.
Powerful and productive that is the kind of training week I envision, we are off to a wild and crazy start. I had to work around a schedule change today and what was supposed to be a morning run became an afternoon run. Weight training is now in the repetitive but affective mode. The next 7 weeks will be devoted to building my lower body without sacrificing upper body gains.

There is one person on the planet, I long to control, mold and shape into whatever I desire! Yes, I am a control freak and my frequent demand is submit to me! Those are the words I frequently yell at my often stubborn flesh. While some may want to control many, and others want to control some, I am only fasinated with controlling one. I can Whip my butt into shape faster than anyone else on the planet.
Today was indeed kick my own butt day, my mind was searching for ways to get out of the morning run. The wind was blowing it was chilly, I could catch a cold, blah blah the lies I tell myself. Granted I did give the excuse making, taking a walk on the dark side part of me a break. 3 miles outdoor run or 6 miles on the treadmill....Yes, it was a beautiful 3 mile run.
If doing what feels good doesn�t garner stellar results then I just have to say no. Yes, this war of me versus me continues....but I�m winning...I think. Either way I got the power, I am in control of me and that is exactly how this old chic rolls.
This journey is all about dealing with unforeseen problems, dealing with unanticipated situations and moving with the flow of life, while still obtaining the goal.This has been a week of pitbull determination as I fight for what I want and reject those pesky obstacles that keep popping up to stymie my progression. The awesome news is I survived and thrived the reality is I get to face a new week fresh with opportunity and obstacles. Something to relish and something to reject.

One more week of high volume training and then we can get to lower it down to mid range. We are still working on developing a better posterior chain without ignoring the anterior, this is sweet muscle murder.
After Lunch smack down was a 7 mile jaunt on the mountain trails, I confess I was slower than normal, but it was the perfect prescription before a relaxing off day.
now on to my training thought for today There is no substitute for the dream that beats within your heart. That vision that just will not allow you to rest. It is the reason you get up early, it forces you to go the extra mile. The vision loves to play hide and seek as it toys with you and yet holds you captivated. It is the driving force behind passion, it is the reason you train hard and wait patiently for the magic to appear.
There is always room for improvement....always that is why we are working on improving the posterior chain, while rocking the anterior chain. Working on improving imbalance, while still becoming stronger.
Today we stuck with old school thunder when it came to weight training. So we aren't changing the routines to much, we are simply on the path of progression.
I started out the year at 115.8 pounds which would normally be okay but because I am probably going to spend a lot more time running this year I want to be as gentle on my joints as possible so I can probably afford to lose another 5 pounds. I am giving my body 3 months to get to 110 so we are going everything slow and delicate that way I can simply grow into the process.
Standing on the verge of fascinating possibilities...now is the right time to shock myself, test my faith and move forward into new and unexplored arenas of life. When it comes to a healthy and strong body, I am more than willing to commit to becoming better than I have every been before.
Limitless is the only harness that will be placed on my ambitions be they physical, mental or spiritual.
I am stepping into the new me one training session and one nutritional protocol at a time.
