I would have much rather had my $200 dress paid for than a tote bag with my name on it. That's a great idea! That and a nice card, good to go!

I think gift cards are nice too

Don't think I'm getting the reg. I feel that every gift that I have received as a maid of honor I have never used and ends up in a box packed away. I'm giving gift cards, to me its not inpersonell its practical and will be used. I can get each a different one that will make it personal enough.

I still love the idea of gifting your maids their dress. That is a huge expense. And a card to express your love for them is great too. When my time comes I might do that. Or pay for them to get their hair, makeup and nails done. With a nice necklace from Etsy.

I was thinking about it and these are the people that we love the most. And some bridesmaids have to spend $500 to a thousand dollars, just to stand up with you at the altar. And put that way into the thousands if you are having a destination wedding. It is definitely time to show your love with a nice thank you gift.

Got my maid of honour a necklace with her initial on it with a $50 Starbucks gift card (Favourite coffee shop would be an understatement). She absolutely loved it, but the dress idea is awesome with a personalized hand written note of how much you appreciate that person is an awesome idea.

Buying their outfits seems like a very generous gift on your part, I wouldn't worry about seeming cheap! My wedding party is mixed-gender so everyone's getting the same gift (mug with their name and the wedding date etched onto it) and it's working out to be much less expensive than the cost for attire.

I think that is a great idea. Right now I am thinking about doing a personalized wine glass and a bottle of wine for my girls.

I think purchasing their wedding outfits is a great idea if you can manage it! I agree a personal card or letting the bridesmaids know you appreciate them is a good idea~

Thanks guys.
I thought it was a good idea, but at the same time I was worried that it might look "cheap". but I feel better about it, and I will defiantly look into getting some nice handmade cards for them after wards.

Thanks again

That would be a good idea. Then maybe something small, a hand made card or something simple after the wedding to show your Thanks.
