Crazy as it sounds, I like to eat soup for breakfast--semi homemade--especially when it's cold in the mornings. I like a good thick hearty multi-veg soup with some sort of protein, whether it's chicken or ground turkey, even shrimp or boiled egg (I don't eat red meat). I also like to saute a bunch of spinach (I like the bagged baby spinach, it's so easy) with a chopped tomato and an egg scrambled in it.

When I've had a big dinner the night before I am not that hungry in the morning so I'll have a brown rice cake with raw almond butter and fruit sweetened apricot preserves.

My current favorite - Oikos 0% fat, fruit on the bottom greek yogurt, 1/2 cup blueberries & 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean cereal. Yummy! Quick! Easy! 10 Grams protein from the yogurt!

I have fallen in love with Eggo Low-Fat whole grain waffles with peanut butter and jelly! Portable (if you fold each over like a taco, super quick and filling :)

This is one of my favorite breakfasts and it takes about 5 minutes to make. It's a healthier version of those breakfast muffins you get at fast food restaurants.

1 Thomas' Light Multigrain English muffin
a 2 egg white omelette
1 morningstar vegetarian sausage patty
a slice of 2% american cheese

264 calories, 7g fat, 32 carbs, 27g protein, 9g fiber

This will definitely keep you full till lunch.

I love my morning smoothie/protein shake:

1 scoop Jay Rob Protein Powder (chocolate is great)
1 packet yo plait frozen smoothie
1 cup Almond Milk

Blend it up and it is excellent! Only 310 calories and you will be full till lunch:)

1 cup of frozen blueberries with 1 cup of milk (whichever type you use), and a cup of warm tea. The berries freeze the milk. It's like having ice cream for breakfast.

I could use some ideas too. I need something quick and easy that is filling! I am trying to get away from just drinking coffee then over eating at lunch because I'm starving.

I'd really appreciate some ideas for healthy breakfasts. I'm tired of the same thing. Hot or cold cereal. I do have eggs occasionally but always the same way. Easy over done in a NON stick pan. AND fruit.
thanks.
