Whatever suits the person. I certainly wouldn't think of taking a full shot before bed. That's a choice each person makes for themselves. I'm not sure alcohol directly before bed is good for the blood sugar.

Supposedly, Queen Elizabeth also has a drink before she goes to bed. Gin and Dubonnet.

My grandfather did this and lived to be 90 and no health problems.

My aunt is 77 yrs old never goes to the doctor and she says it's because she just drinks a shot glass of brandy at night before bed , she says she sleeps well and feels good. I'm wondering does anyone else do that?
I had to stop the melatonin because it was spiking my sugar and I'm seriously thinking of trying the brandy, she's never at the doctors unless she breaks a bone .... she only has the shot at night never drinks any other time....
She said my grand parents did that before bed and lived a long life and they also were never at the doctors hahaha
I'm desperate I'm having trouble sleeping now since no more melatonin.......
