I tried it and loved it. We all have bags that we work out on and the instructers also come around and do one on ones, we work out to music and it's really high energy. You work everything out, your core, your arms, legs, work on balance, I'm hooked. My goal is to go to atleast 3-4 classes a week. I'm still spinning, doing ab class and now I'm aiming for two yoga classes a week. I also weight lift twice a week. I've been stagnit for a while so I'm hoping these boxing classes will jump start my weight loss again.
I shadow box, just my own routine, I have never had lessons or any taining in it. I just did it and found I liked it. I power walk for 5min, shadow box for 2.5 min and power walk for 5min,,etc until I give out, then I just walk gradually slowing down to cool off. It also is a great stress reliever.
I do it twice a week and I love it! It's a great workout and something different to look forward to!

I did kickboxing (training style, never sparring) for a long time and I loved it. I like that you get immediate feedback when your punch lands. If your form is right, you can feel it resonate. I also love the feeling of muscle fatigue that comes from not just shadow boxing, but actually connecting with the resistance of a bag. When I would leave my training sessions, I could barely lift my arms. Not in pain, just in exhaustion. I still knock around my heavy bag from time to time. It's an awesome stress reliever.

I've done it as cross training. Its a really fun workout and high energy. Because of all the footwork, be prepared to have very shaky legs afterwards :D
Tomorrow night I am going to try a new work-out. Boxing! There is a place that offers classes or one on one training and I'm trying a class. It looks like fun and I've been looking for something new. I also hope it will help me to become lighter on my feet. Anyone else ever try it? Did you like it and are you still doing it?
