We have them at home and while I don't use them nearly enough, we love them. They kind of take up a bit of space though.

My husband and I have used our Bowflex weights almost daily for several years. I'm 61 and have nice arms thanks to the weights. Our weights are old and only go from 2-20 lbs, which meets our needs. We also like the uneven weight distribution exercises the previous poster mentioned. Bowflex offers an expensive stand to hold the weights. We didn't buy that, but it's important to keep them on a strong, flat surface about 25" tall so you don't hurt yourself bending over to pick up the weights.

I have a few friends who have a set and they love them! They're great b/c they adjust to "half" pounds. i.e. 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 30.... etc.

I have a set, but mine are x-mark. I went with those because they were cheaper, but I still love them and they adjust from 10-50, but in 10lb increments. Depending on the exercise, I can unevenly distribute the weight (doing squats for example) and then adjust my hand placement so it doesn't feel uneven.

Does anyone have any feedback on these "dial-a-plate" dumbbells? I need a pair of plated dumbbells and these look very intriguing.

If not these, any suggestions for a different dumbbell set? I need ones that I can make reasonably heavy, as the heaviest ones I have now are 15 lbs, and those are already too light.
