Bonjour et hello aussi! I don't know if you are French - I came from France and I got my citizenship in 1958. I am 78 years old - have diabetis2 - had a hip replacement 5 months ago today. I am new at this and am not sure how to navigate yet. I used NitriSystem a while back, but put it all back on! Naughty girl! Now I am going to need advise on avoiding pitfalls when I reah my goal (if I ever do!)and afterwards. FRankly, I think maintenance is harder than losing weight. Anyone had the same experience? Talk to me . Merci

There's so much here to help you along the way and excellent advice to setting and achieving healthy goals. With the thousands and thousands of fellow Sparkers you will always find someone you can connect with. I am always amazed how many lives have been changed for the better through the use of SparkPeople.
If you have not already done so, I suggest that you check out the videos in the "Healthy Lifestyle" section. Scroll down for the site orientation videos.
That should point you in the right direction. I find that if you just start looking around Spark, you will quickly learn about the wonderful tools available for your use. After being a Sparker since 2007, I still find something new and very useful.

I think you add the weight trackers on your sparkpage, go to edit and I think it's at the bottom, I'm still navigating the site and I've been here since June but I love it, the best thing it's free.

I'm giving myself a 2013 Christmas present of a healthy weight. My problem was/is putting everyone/thing else on the to do list and leaving myself off. Yes, putting on the oxygen mask last in a quickly descending plane doesn't allow me to help other. What else have I been missing on my to do list by holding myself back with an unhealthy weight? Day two and already running on the steps to get to the rinse cycle. Glad to meet everyone. Can anyone show me how to add those cute little trackers on my page to measure out pounds lost? (The rabbit running through the grass, saliboat on waves, etc.)
