I've been doing Body Pump for about 5 years and love it. We've had several different teachers and each has their own style (some I like, some I don't). I like it when they count out the reps so if you are struggling you know "okay, only 5 more to go" and can stick with it. One word of advice - don't over do the weights. Start out light and work your way up. You might think "oh, I can lift 20 lbs" - well, yes maybe if you are only lifting it 5 times but when you lift 50 times that gets pretty heavy! Better to start out light for the first couple times until you are familiar with the moves, counts etc. and then slowly add weight to the bar. Good luck and enjoy

I plan on joining the Y sometime soon and I want to try a body pump class. A couple of my coworkers love it.
