I was so excited when the two companies merged together, because it surely made life easier. I also like how the Body Media monitor keeps track of your personal best and give you little messages. I'm so glad that I had invested in the monitor.

Progress may be slow, but it happens!

I like my BodyMedia and it works great for steps taken and sleep monitoring. But be careful to not overeat because of it. I don't allow it calorie adjustments to add calorie for my daily intake because I think it makes it allows for too much food. I use My Fitness Pal to track and delete the BodyMedia adjustment.

There is a monthly subscription for bodymedia of 6.95 a month.
(so far, i dont believe you can pay in 3 6 or 12 months in advance)

The new version of BodyMedia Core 2 will likely come out in October / "this fall"
(I think to correspond with with the new season of the Biggest Loser)

The sync process is just a click of a button - The fitness info from the device seems to automagically appear in my fitness tracker and there is an option to 'sync device now' in the fitness tracker that will update your spark fitness tracker with that your bodymedia device if they dont seem sync'd.
(eg you just went to the gym and plugged in the device to see your results on bodymedia and then want to licketysplit put the info in spark)

For the food tracking there is an option under the nutrition tracker to sync foods with bodymedia - just click the button and your spark food tracker info gets applied to your bodymedia activity manager tracker dashboard. (just seems to dump the raw caloric number)

over all, its pretty quick and easy. I have yet to have a problem with syncing to spark or bodymedia and the entire process from setting up the device to getting everything connected to spark took under 20 minutes.

do not eat the pudding at this time

Hi all,

I am looking at obtaining a body media device and have gotten great information from one of my SP friends! However as I read it talks about subscriptions, etc. I would like to be able to see my progress, etc. Does anyone have one and use it with SP and how does it all synch? I am hoping to purchase one within the next month but want to be SUPER sure I understand all of the ins and outs.
