I think bodybuilding gives people the immediate impression of Arnie. Truth is, most of us are not even genetically capable of getting anywhere near that (even with drug use). Ya, once you realize at whatever point you're not getting there is a bit of a let down, but then you realize, there is still a lot of good to be done.
I'm with you KJ. My goal is simply to put more weight on the bar. I focus on the big three lifts. Squats, deads and benches. I use accessory exercises to get me past stuck points.
My goal is singularly focused. Get strong. Don't care about 6 pack, big arms, etc. I want strong legs, strong back, etc. More weight on the bar, adjust diet according to body fat %, keep lifting.
Gainz are gainz, brother. Small or large, keep 'em coming.
