As a retired nurse, I can tell you edema can be hereditary, it could be from salt or to much water overflow. I forgot to say Hi and welcome. Being over 50 is hard on us old women:). Just don't take NO for an answer, keep going to someone before your legs become a permanent reason for living out the rest of your years. When you have faith, you can do most anything. Take care and May god Bless!!

I have really high out of control bp and bloating and blood sugars go up on bp pills, and I have really bad edema, they want to wrap my legs and ankles for 3 weeks so the edema may go down so they can get me new support hose, but the bp drugs make the edema go up, so does anyone have this problem and why do you bloat for no reason as no one can tell me and they don't know why I have edema either and I've had it since 2002 and no one did a thing about it, they just let it ride.
