You don't have to stick to a plan to make positive changes. Perhaps your plan is a tad too ambitious. If so, then you're setting yourself up for failure. Good health is not an all or nothing proposition. Any healthy thing you do for yourself is a step in the right direction. And it can be as small a thing as drinking 8 glasses of water. Good health really is all about making simple changes. Over time, all the small changes you make add up into one huge accomplishment.
So, you don't need to lock yourself indoors to be healthy. Just take this one step at a time. one change at a time. As the cliche goes,"don't throw the baby out with the dirty bath water." Every little bit does make a difference.
What fun would it be to simply block the rest of the world out of your life? Aren't the majority of us going through 'life style changes'? Learning to work with life's distractions is going to help you out so much more in the long run-even if it takes a little longer that way.

To me the goal is to aim for progression, not perfection. For me perfection is what kept me stuck in a diet mentality. Perfection, whether that is with our diets or fitness, just doesn't work. I have been on my journey for well over 6 years and I have had my fair-share of oppsie moments, however, I no longer allow guilt to stand in my way.
Every meal, even every moment, allows us to make healthy choices. Hang in there and know that you will never have to walk this journey alone.

What you have to do is just take one step at a time. Make small changes. If you lose focus, there is the rest of the day. You don't even have to wait until tomorrow. You must have reasons for wanting to be healthy. Don't lose sight of those. Don't be mad at yourself, just be willing to change yourself and how you view the world. You can do this, even with all the obstacles that life gives. Have a little faith in yourself.

Sitting here thinking...if I could just block out the world and all life's side attractions (at my age they're not the fun ones either) I just might be able to stay focused. Tonight I'm feeling very defeated! I want to do, what I want to do, want to follow my plan & stick to it but with 'life' popping up every minute it seems, sometimes I just want to hide. Then when I feel like this I just get mad at myself for being my own worst enemy! Thank God, Lord willing, tomorrow is another day!
