* A boss who calls and says to take the day off because she heard that you had been sick
* A relationship with my husband that results in my missing him while we are at work
* A couch to stretch out on
* A room to use for exercise (kids mostly out, now)
* Videos to help push me when exercising
* Fresh water
* Vegies and fruits in the fridge

Can certainly be an eye opener to help someone who needs ...

Right now I am thankful for ...
My parents and their general good health
Having a week and a half of my husband being on vacation (went back to work this morning.)
A job where I make a difference in the lives of children
SparkPeople!
Computers
The smiles of my grandchildren
A body that, ignoring the pain factors, enables me to take care of myself and those around me

If you don't change anything, nothing will change.

We are indeed blessed, but sometimes we don't realise it until we become aware of someone else's difficulties. That was my experience this morning, and I am glad I was able to help.

I love the idea of recognizing the good in life. When I went through a very difficult time, I consciously made the decision that I was going to make lemonade with the invariable lemons in life rather than sucking on them! For all who want to join me - yeah! I look forward to finding out what others see in their lives.

Today?

solitude
our animals
warmth
the sound from the basement of the radio my husband uses now - it was my dad's new radio many years ago and brings me comfort both from my husband's presence and thoughts of my dad (please don't misread - he is still alive!)
healthy food to eat
a new exercise video
quick texts to keep a close connection with my children

If you don't change anything, nothing will change.
