I used to go with my daughters but don't care to go anymore. The bargains are not as good and if there is a good sale they only have a few of that item. I know at Walmart a couple of years ago we waited in line for the store to let us in. When the doors did open the people in line behind us rushed in ahead of the ones who had been waiting hours longer than they had been waiting. Manners and good sense go out the window. I don't want to start my holiday shopping with my daughters by arguing with someone. It is supposed to be fun. emoticon

My Dad used to love to take all of us and go shopping on that day, however he did it mostly just to be a part of the crowd. We really didn't have a lot of money to spend. Raising 4 of us was not easy but he loved the crowds and we loved anything to do with Dad. I never go out anymore on that day. I worked in retail a few years and remember that as being a manager's nightmare.

I did once or twice with friends when the kids really little and the hubbys stayed home with them. Last year, hubby and I went out mid morning or so. Enjoyed the people watching, that was about it. This year, I might do online shopping.

You have to be kidding...why in the world would you go out and buy a lot of usless "junk" for the sake of buying "stuff"'s time people wake up and realize that all the "stuff" they are marketed to buy is just "junk" making China and Japan (were all the crap is made) stronger and richier while people horde worthless "stuff" for the sake of "gift-giving" and self deserving nonsense...we don't NEED anything we don't already have and falling for silly stuff like Black Friday is like leading pigs to slaughter...

No way. I don't even like the name - it brings to my mind the Great Crash of 1929.

I make a very real effort not to buy ANYTHING on that day. I certainly will not venture into stores that ruin their staff's Thanksgiving by requiring them to be at work at such ungodly hours.

Online Now  • ))
There is NO DEAL out there that will encourage me to haul my keister out of bed at 3am for a 4 or 5am store opening ! Keep in mind that I'm still recovering from the turkey hang over at that hour. ;)

Speaking as someone who worked in retail for more years than I care to discuss, I officially boycott any store that opens at that kind of ungodly hour. It's one thing for the customer to get up and get in line, think of the poor worker who has to deal with that crush of people.

NOPE... not me, I will shop at a respectable hour of the day, 9am ! LOL !!!

Also, I'm one of the cyber Monday people. I do most of my shopping from the comfort of my computer chair.

NOPE! Usually have to work - would LOVE the day off to STAY HOME and sleep in - but I go to work!

IF there is something I "need" I can ask my daughter to grab it for me - she is usually out and about.

I for one will NOT go stand in line to get "run down" when the store opens... stores never have "enough" of what's on sale anyway... not worth the frustration to me!

It depends on if I have money to spend, and if I have a wingman/wingwoman or two to go with me. I have gone a couple of years, and the deals are unbelievable, but people are so rude!

Not me, internet shopping most of the time.

Give up everything you love, and everything that tastes good = weight loss! Simple as that!

I used to go with my friend and her parents. I just think it's hilarious how crazy people get...Sometimes scary though. I only shop from Avon during the holidays since their so cheap. Maybe I'll do some online...But wait overnight at a store? Yeah right haha

I love looking at the ads but rarely find any of the "deals" a big enough deal to go shopping for. I've been in Wal-Mart at the tail end of their bargain hours and found some videos that were okay priced. Other than that. I'd rather sleep

My sons are, but NOT my wife. Year before last my oldest son and I waited 3 three hours in line at Wal-Mart. We got the last one of the item he wanted.

Although I like to shop, I mostly like to browse and window shop and Black Friday is much too crazy, crowded and overhyped for me to participate.

Last year I did my Black Friday shopping on line for the first time and had just as much fun. Never leave my house. My son did Black Friday last year and did the footwork for some things I could not get online.

I used to love it when my children were younger. I found great deals and was able to get much of my shopping done in one day. Now that they are older, I find myslef shopping more online.

Not much of a shopper myself, but every once in a while there are some good bargains that I venture out for.

I've done it every year for the last few years in a row. I only go to a few stores because my husband ALWAYS has to go to work the day after Thanksgiving so I go super early and get back before he has to go to work.

Not me, I used to work in retail and had to work on Black Friday. That cured me of ever wanting to shop on this day. After years of having to get up well before dawn, I enjoy sleeping in.

Please be kind to the sales associates that have been at work since 2am and have to be there 12 hours to make up for the crazy store opening.

Now I might shop online. No way I am going out into those crowds

I have lots of friends that love it, but I just can't do it. Crowds don't make me happy at all.

I work in health care and usually have to work that day. Although the last time I was off a few years ago I bought a treadmill for an excellent price.
