I just started with the smoothies, and I have been doing this one for a week now and I really like it.
Frozen Banana, cup of baby spinach, 1% milk, tsp of honey, jillian michaels whey protein shake chocolate (optional, I added this on my own). It is really good although I can't remember where I got it from.

Trish, I know a local coffee shop here makes a smoothie that is the Dole brand frozen mixed fruit (It has mango, pineapple, strawberries, etc....they use the bag you get at sams), water, and honey....you could probably also use agave nectar. I have also made smoothies using vanilla soy milk. GNC has at least one lactose free protein packet if you are looking for the protein.

You could also try substituting no sugar added fruit juice.

biochem only has 6 grams of sugar and 20 grams of protein. It's not bad and it probably more healthy than the WW brand. You can get it at Whole Foods or any health food store. If you have a Fruitful Yield around you, they sell it a bit cheaper.

You can also add greens (for protein) into your smoothie and the fruit that you use will mask the taste of the greens. Just have to get over the color. I make a green smoothie every morning. If you like the vanilla flavor add some vanilla extract or vanilla bean. I use raw cacao powder to make mine chocolatey, but normally just let the fruit sweeten it.

Occasionally I like to make breakfast smoothies with fruit, yogurt or milk, and some sort of protein powder. My favorite up until this point has been the weight watchers vanilla shake that you can buy at the meetings. If I am craving chocolate I just add a little cocoa powder. However, I am quitting Weight Watchers to cut spending and wont be able to buy the protein shakes anymore.

Does anyone have an suggestions of some protein shakes that taste good but don't have a ton of sugar in them?
