Congrats on the wonderful weight loss! I'm a new member as well... let's keep each other motivated! :) We're both about the same weight as well.. I'm down 5lbs in about 2 weeks and trying to stay focused without getting discouraged.
I have good news all. On January 8, 2013 when I arrived back to work I weighed myself and the scale read 264lbs. I changed my diet (to include drinking water only), started doing insanity exercises and regular routine walking. I just checked myself on the scale today and I am 254lbs. 54 more lbs to go. Starting off the week right. WE CAN DO IT! ON OUR WAY TO BEING HEALTHY. :-)
Yeah that's definitely true. I know with Atkins I could lose a pound a day but I know I can't eat like that forever I love variety too much and carbs. But just eating low cal and healthy I don't even feel like I'm on a diet so I know I could stick to it forever. And you're right slow and steady does win the race! I just got to keep reminding myself that and reminding myself that I should be doing it to have a healthy life and make those permanent changes.
I really think you should do whatever you think is most comfortable and whichever you think you can stick to. I am doing good. Last time i checked the scale I was at the same 5lb weight loss but I am not letting that get to me. I know I won't be able to lose weight as fast as I want to but slow and steady always wins the race. Continue reaching for the stars.
Hey! I actually started thinking about going back to a Atkins type diet so I could lose weight faster but then I lost almost 2 pounds with out even really trying so it made me reconsider lol. How are you?
Hey! I'm a beginner too! Well at this point haha. My first goal is 20 pounds and I can hopefully get there in 10 weeks! My ultimate goal is up to 45 lbs but we'll see where I want to stop! Hah. How are you losing the weight?

Good for you! Don't give up. And if you give in then thats ok, just get back on track. I personally love doing Zumba. I am addicted. I do that workout on the WII also. I was never the type to exercise. I now walk more, I wear a pedometer everday, and make sure that I get my 10,000. Good Luck and remember have Fun..
