I was off work for 4 days with a cold. Very unusual for me - if I catch a cold I usually get a sore throat and shake it off the next day. It's a nasty bug - some people at work have been sick for 2 weeks. I didnt`have any flu symptoms though - just a cold.
I'm planning on going running tomorrow am for the first time since I got sick.

I have simply been washing my hands like crazy, not touching doorknobs, etc., eating lots of Vitamin C by way of citrus fruit, drinking lots of water AND exercising regularly ...
just because I'm trying to avoid all of the people with colds and fevers who come to work!!!
Feel better soon, and if you can (I understand there are times it is not possible), think of your co-workers to try and avoid passing the germs around. It's a vicious cycle.
I'm not sick *knocks on wood* and hope to remain that way, especially with my kids going to school and bringing home all sorts of loverly germs.
PSA for EVERYONE: If you have a sore throat that is accompanied by a headache and nausea, even if you do not have a fever, please make an appointment with your doctor or at least make a trip to urgent care. Strep throat can come on really suddenly and if it is not taken care of immediately, it can turn septic really quickly. People still die from sepsis. Do NOT ignore those symptoms. I have had strep sans fever, bronchitis sans fever, and last year, I had pneumonia that required 3 days hospitalization with intraveinous antibiotics-also sans fever.
Please forgive the following yelling, because I have had to go on different antibiotics because of people who do not finish their WHOLE cycle of antibiotics.
JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE FEELING BETTER WHILE TAKING ANTIBIOTICS, IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE INFECTION IS COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM. BE SURE TO TAKE YOUR ENTIRE CYCLE OF ANTIBIOTICS. NEGLECTING TO DO THIS CAN RESULT IN THE INFECTION DEVELOPING A RESISTANCE TO THE ANTIBIOTICS MAKING IT HARDER TO TREAT. TAKE YOUR MEDICINE EXACTLY AS PRESCRIBED BY YOUR DOCTOR OR BY THE PHYSICIAN WHO PUT YOU ON THE REGIMINE. Thanks. I think I'm done for now.
Feel better, sickies. Make some bone broth if you're not a vegetarian. It's super good for you. Drink lots of decaffeinated herbal tea or hot honey & lemon water if you don't like tea, lots of water, and get plenty of rest.

I have been fighting a horrible head cold. I am so groggy and don't even feel like eating. Working out has not even been on the agenda. Anyone else having this problem?
