I just performed the qi gong moves with the video here on SP and it really did feel great. Qi means energy and the substance that gives our bodies life is a form of energy. Performing qi gong as a moving meditation allows us the opportunity to consciously connect with that energy and to release blocks that can lead to ill health and dis-ease. I am so thankful that SP values our total well-being as well as weight loss! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I watch a lot of the videos from Dr. Mercola and I've started eating sauerkraut daily, since he says we should have some 'fermented' foods daily like sauerkraut, Greek Yogurt, Kefir, etc. and I do feel better. If a person really makes a effort to learn there is a lot to help out there. I'm not eating in the morning any more, since Dr. Mercola says that it gives the intestines a rest as ancient people didn't eat three or six times per day. I read an article on how pushing people to eat six small meals a day has became eating six LARGE ones. So much is about food companies wanting to sell more food and making PROFITS.

Thanks JIBBIE49! It's funny how your current weight is exactly the same as mine and your goal is the exact weight I can never seem to push past. Back in 2007, I lost 32lbs of baby weight and got down to 134. My goal was 125 and I tried for years to get below 134 and couldn't. In the last 1.5 - 2 yrs, I gained it all back due to digestive issues affecting my health and causing me to have to stop exercising.

After years of crazy diets, tons of money on naturopaths, etc., etc., I recently discovered digestive enzymes and am amazed at the difference they make. My body is processing food properly, absorbing nutrients the way it's supposed to, no more dizzy spells from low blood pressure and low iron. So I can exercise again and am hoping, this time, to not only lose those same 32 lbs but to finally get passed it to my ultimate goal.

Maybe we can be buddies on the journey.

emoticon Happy Holidays.

You can do this IF you don't quit.

Listen to the documentary on YouTube "THE MEN WHO MADE US FAT" as it is very helpful. William Davis MD has a lecture on "WHEAT BELLY" that has really been interesting, as well.

Isaiah 40:31 ...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

This will be my mantra for 2013.

I am a 38 year old full-time working mother of 2 with a shift working husband and no family nearby. I am 5' 5" and currently at my all time highest weight ever of 166lbs.

My goal is to lose 40lbs ~ but even more than that, my goal is to get in shape and become an all around better me.

My by the time I'm 40 Bucket List:
1. Lose 40 lbs
2. Complete a 1/2 marathon
3. Participate in a fitness competition
4. Pre-plan weekly family meals
5. Become a Vegetarian/Vegan
6. Take up tennis lessons
7. Take up guitar lessons
8. Spend more personal time with my husband & children
9. Re-focus and commit to my career
10. Re-focus and commmit to my faith

My plan is to spend 2013 getting myself on the path to meeting these goals. My hope is that even if I don't reach my goals, I will become a better person for at least trying.
