Thank you so much! I'm embarrassed to admit I'm definitely one of those people that will eat it if it's on special or because it's there. I don't particularly enjoy ballpark food, though. I'm a label reader and I generally like to know what's in my food. I have NO idea why I did not think of just eating before the game (late lunch) and bringing along some snacks. I have kids, so I don't think they'll say much when they see granola bars and grapes in my bag.

I'd have to agree with the pp's who said, don't eat it just because it's there. Or on special, for a buck. Choose to eat it because you want to, because it's part of the whole ballgame experience.
Do you LOOOOOOOVE brats or ballpark hot dogs? If you really, really, totally love the whole ballpark sausage sandwich experience and it wouldn't feel like a game if you didn't have one, then go ahead and get whichever one of the two you love the most. (Or the nachos, if nachos are THE thing that makes a ball game a ball game for you.) I think the database here actually has some generic typical foods that you can find by searching for the word "ballpark." If not, just use any brand, the largest serving size. That's as close as you can get.
But if you're not 100% crazy about the food options, don't eat unhealthy food just because it's there. Take a healthy picnic instead-- sandwiches on nice whole-grain bread, or fruit and cheese and veggies, or a pasta or grain salad, or whatever. If the ballpark doesn't allow outside food and they check bags, you can tailgate in the parking lot during the seventh-inning stretch. But as MichelleXXXX pointed out, if you tell people that you've checked their menu and there's nothing that's safe for your special needs, they usually just wave you in. The only reason for banning outside food is to sell more concessions, and if you CAN'T buy and eat their food, there's no point in stopping you from eating your own.
It's fine to indulge in something less than healthy if you really want it. But don't "waste" your calories on unhealthy food that you don't love.

I would put a tuna pouch.kale chips, an apple, and baby carrots in my purse. If someone gave me problems, I would explain I am on a pre-diabetic preventative mealplan.

one meal isn't going to break your plan, choose whatever you like that fits within your calorie range and enjoy the game.

I just started SP about a month ago and I feel like I'm getting a handle on my food and portions, slowly but surely. Tomorrow night, however, we're going to a baseball game. They have the food listed, but not the nutritional information. Normally, I would get nachos, but I really want to know what the best option would be for dinner. We'll have to leave before 5 and we won't get home until late, so not eating there isn't really an option for us. Hotdogs are a buck tomorrow night, but would a bratwurst be better? I don't know...thoughts are welcome!
I wanted to add...I really hate fake meat, so that's why I shy away from the hotdog, but I don't want to mess up my hard work...if that makes sense.
