Thanks for the comments! My daughter just amazes me each day how much she grows and how quickly! My husband and I are both so happy we were able to make this happen while she is still young.

It is exciting to be able to be a SAHM. There are times that I wish I had those 'Adult Conversations' and probably annoy any adult who calls my house. LOL Congrtulations and good luck on your journeys.

Good for you (but sorry to hear about your father-in-law). You're lucky that your mother-in-law was able to babysit. Mine refuses.

I have been staying home off and on, usually working holiday seasonal for extra money, or substitute teaching here and there for spending money. I'm trying to stay home now since I had my second child in April, but things are tight! I hope I can do it until both are in school. I love watching them grow every day.

Although sometimes I REALLY crave time away and adult conversation! =)

I finally was able to leave my job to stay home with our daughter again! I've been dreaming of this day ever since I went back to work 3 years ago due to some family issues. My 4yo DD is very excited as well to have mommy home

Unfortunately, it comes at the cost of my father-in-law's health. My MIL watched my daughter while I worked, and he had a stroke a couple of months ago. She's been unable to watch her, which I felt bad even asking her to do since she's been sick, so my husband and I crunched the numbers and decided it was doable to have me be home. Plus, DD is going to benefit from having me home much more than having a sitter!
