Yup... I know this all too well. Starting over is never easy but I think everyone has had to do this in one way or another. When we fall we just have to get back up.

The good thing is that you already have the tools to succeed! and you know what works.

Somedays it is just putting one foot in front of the other. I remember when I was in my early twenties and thought I was 'fat' at 130 lbs! That was thirty years ago and I've finally surrendered to the reality that not paying attention hasn't worked. So, here I am and expect to be for the rest of my life... paying attention. SP is the first platform I've found with the elasticity that I need. I've surrendered, but I'm an independent cuss that doesn't do well with really tight structure. I have to eat everyday, so I guess I'll be paying attention every day too!

I think everyone has fallen off at least once (some of us more then that). But you're back now and you know you can do it!

Welcome back to the front lines! I have done the same thing. Was feeling so great with all the weight I lost and then I just stacked it all back on, so slowley I did not even notice until..Gasp! here I am!!! Anyway, think forward, you will be a skinny minny again soon! :)

I have been in your situation (hence why I'm back here at SP)... I just remember my mantra "Stop focusing on what should have or could have been, just focus on what is" (an original Jenn-eralism lol). we all have our setbacks, however, the more we lament on the past, the less energy we are expending on the now.

yesterday was my day 1, third time around. I started with zero motivation........only a promise to myself that the day, the hour, and the moment have arrived. If ya want a buddy, hit me up.

These message boards are the key, I found the motivation I needed. emoticon

I am sure many people on SP have experienced what you are going through. As for myself - over the past two years, I have continued to amaze myself. Just when I thought I couldn't get any heavier, I did. Discouraging to say the least. BUT the bright spot I focus on is that God gives us a new chance every minute of every day to start over again. I am so glad you are doing just that. My motto is one day at a time (sometimes even one hour at a time!). We can do it, I'm sure of it! Best of luck to you on this new journey!

Sigh.....So I did sparkpeople during the summer of 2009, and lost about 35 lbs. I never felt so great in my entire life, and I kept it off until a death in the family the following spring. Then I started dating someone, and here I am a year later back at the heaviest I have ever been. I am depressed every day that I try to fit into my "fat jeans"and they are becoming too tight. SO here is day one, and so far so good. I just hope I have it in me again. Cheers to all you "day-one"rs out there!
