I am starting today and really pray that I can succeed. Prayers help, but motivation from like minded folks all trying to better themselves and live a healthier life is a key factor for me. I was on another site and found that when I checked in daily I stayed on track I felt more in control. So here I go again!

Welcome back! As you probably know, there are so many great resources here! I recommend starting with the nutrition/food tracker, if you haven't already, because that is the key element in weight loss for most people. Then, once you're comfortable with tracking your food on a daily basis, start exploring more areas of this site. I still find something new here almost every day. By tracking everything since May 2011 and using the other features here to keep myself focused, I lost 90 pounds and have maintained that loss for well over a year now. It takes a little bit of time, but it is sooooo worth it!

I'm back at it as well. After gaining 10 pounds on my own, I began to have kidney problems & have had 6 infused treatments of chemo therapy drugs; and while my kidneys are functioning much better, I am on a daily oral dosage of this chemo drug & a small dosage of prednisone 2 days a week. I have gained another 40 pounds from all that! I'm miserable & uncomfortable - it's been so hard to get my ducks in a row & stop making excuses & get back on track. BUT today, is the day!
I'm doing the old fashioned thing - counting calories & exercise (haven't done that yet, but will). SOOOO, here I go! Good luck to you as well!
