It sounds like you're doing the right things. If you feel up for it, try to some light stretching too. If the pain persists or gets worse, I'd get it checked out by your doctor.

Seems like I overdid it Tuesday, sore right lower back, which has now turned into back spasms, which I never had before. I have been doing the ice, heat therapy, the icy hot rub seems to be working the best so far. Nighttime is the worst when sleeping on my back? Daytime seems much better. Decided not to do any hand weight resistance which I just started until I get some relief. Any ADVICE?
