swimming will help burn calories where yoga not so much

MMy doctor said light exercise is ok and to listen to my body. I started to see a chiropractor and he says the same. I’m going to try yoga and swimming. The city recently opened a new indoor pool near me so it might be a good way for me to get my work out in. I am continuing my diet and crossing my fingers that I can make this work thank you!

What Roxie said, definitely yoga, swimming and walking... after you get an ok from your doctor.

Hi Shanna

Does your doctor have any suggestions for exercises that are okay to try? They'd be your best bet for this kind of advice, since they know the most about your medical situation.

Also keep in mind that the majority of your weight loss progress comes from diet, not exercise. So even if you can't exercise at all, you can still lose weight consistently if you're tracking all of your food and staying in your recommended calorie and nutrient ranges.

I had back pain when I was pregnant and the only thing that helped me was pregnancy Yoga. I know when you think of yoga it is a long of twisting, but there are positions that actually help the back. And even if you are not pregnant I would still sugest pregnancy Yoga because it focuses on safe streaches that help improuve whole body functioning including the back. I litterally could not sleep unless I did the video. I hope this help you as much as it does me.

I have been experiencing back pain and have been limited to the kinds of exercises I can do. I’m running out of ideas. Do any of you have suggestions for workouts that don’t require much “twisting” motion? Or any stretches that may help? I have been going to the chiropractor but I’m gaining weight and need to start working out again. Please Help !!
