Not sure what "affordable" would be for the people involved, but paintballing, laser tag, shooting range, a sporting event (e.g., basketball, baseball, etc.), rock-climbing, or a ropes course are all stripper-free and alcohol-free ideas

Whatever they decide to do will be talked over with the groom first.

Unless you know the groom loves it, don't go bowling. Someone did this for me and I don't love bowling.

Have a PS3? Have a tournament of some sort at some other kid free household.
As a farewell to childhood, maybe they could book an arcade. Bunch of grown men trying to win tickets to trade for prizes. Hahaha! That's awesome.

Thank you everybody for all your suggestions. I will go over them with my husband to see what he thinks.

How old are the guys going to the bachelor party ? paintball sounds like a good idea. How about getting tickets to their favorite sports ? Hockey and basketball are in season now. could be expensive though for tickets.

For a friend's birthday party, we went bowling. That turned out to be a lot of fun. that's pretty cheap to do.

Note: When I get re-married I am going to be interviewing for my best man, the guy with the most fun & raunchiest plan, wins.

Do they golf? My SO went to a bachelor weekend where one of the activities was golfing. Paintballing was another suggestion. Another fun thing might be an overnight camping trip, assuming you have a good place to camp in your area. They could just hang out, or do stuff like go fishing. They could also go to a sporting event, like hockey, basketball or baseball (if it's during baseball season), and go out to eat either before or after. We go to NHL hockey games (have season tickets) and often they have ticket packages for "guys night out" or depending on how many are going, you could even do it as a group sale. Check into minor league teams too, both hockey and baseball, as they tend to be a lot cheaper but are still fun. There's also places like Dave & Busters in some cities, basically arcades for grownups.

For my hubby's b-party, they did paintball for part of it. I know they had a blast with that...

Okay, so this is pretty random...

My husband's cousin asked him to be the best man in his wedding. So my husband will be hosting the bachelor party... it needs to be stripper free, liquor free, and within a reasonable price range.

any ideas?
