And then, there is the drinking too much, that can cause trouble, too, poor kidney's can't take too much liquid, no matter how wonderful it is. Every body and every day is different, so it's hard to tell. Stay away from aspartame, and sure as shootin' something else will bother you. Seems that way with we average people, wonder if it affects women more than men?
it's our body's way of rejecting the artificial stuff we keep convincing ourselves we want. We are better off getting used to a less sweet tooth and going for fruit instead. Why not try an ounce of pure unsweetened juice in water or seltzer, instead of going for chemicals?

I quit using aspartame because of muscle pain also.
If you get bored drinking plain water, lipton's tea and honey mix comes in pretty good flavors...I like the pomegranate flavor made with club soda instead of water. Plain club soda or seltzer water is nice too. I read the labels on everything now to make sure it doesn't have aspartame.

I get very sick to my stomach if I eat or drink anything with Aspartame in it, and it will trigger migraines too. I'm very careful to read the labels on food/beverage products that I buy to watch out for that.
I live with chronic pain issues because of cancer, so I can totally relate to having my pain worsen because of the weather. I had the issues with Aspartame long before I had cancer. I hope your pain eases up soon!
I've been in severe pain every time the wind blows ( I have fibro and lyme) but this year it's been a nightmare. I've been drinking regular water but I also shake things up with Walmart Mandarin Orange water a flavored one. I didn't think much of it because on the front label it says naturally sweetened. I just looked at the label and found that it has Aspartane in it and that's not good if you have Fibro to be having something with that in it. It weakens your muscles and causes more pain. I've stopped drinking that water and hope it eases up with some of my debilitating pain, just wanted to throw this out there to others that might have fibro or chronic pain because this can definitely make it worse.
