When I pick up an item and I'm about to place it in the cart I like to ask myself these basic questions:
1) Do I need it? 2) Is this healthy for me? 3) What nutritional benefits do I get? 4) How long has it been since I treated myself?
Over the months I have slowly been able to put things back and have started to say yuck when I'm near the candy section, most times. There are occasions when I start carving something and then question 3 and 4 really do come into play.
