Thanks for responding. I started reading the book in Jan. with a group on the Weightwatcher's forum. (I'm a member there and have been losing weight doing the WW plan. I joined SP because of a recent diagnosis of pre-diabetic and I felt I needed to track food with more detail.).
Anyway, the person leading the group for the Beck book couldn't do it anymore. A lot of people had read it previously and were reviewing it with the group but no one wanted to lead the group. So, although I felt less qualified than some others, I really wanted to continue reading and discussing, because i felt it made me think more about how to apply the suggestions in the book. So I volunteered to keep the group going. I've gotten a lot out of it. We are reading it "slowly" covering a chapter a week (more or less). Right now I'm on Eliminate Emotional Eating. Emotional eating is not a big problem for me. However, I do tend to eat when I'm tired, which I think is similar in the strategies that need to be applied.
Anyone interested in a discussion group about the book?

I read it before and found it very helpful! I had forgotten about it and might just have to re-look into it. :) There was a series of podcasts related to it that I liked listening to as well. I can't remember the name at the moment, but I'll post if I do.

I'm about half way through the book. I'm actually leading the discussion about the book on another weight loss forum. Just wondering if anyone here is reading it and if they find it helpful I've picked up some helpful ideas and insights and would like to discuss the book. Anyone interested?
