I haven't tried it; from what I've read about it, it may be far too much meat for me. I try to eat as much locally grown organic food as possible, grow most of my own veggies in the summer, try to eat whole grains, and no added sugars. I don't think I would want to give up olive oil or coconut oil, especially if those fats were to be replaced by animal fats. That said, I just don't know enough about it to make any kind of recommendations one way or the other.

take out the fish and eggs and that is what i eat. Been doing it for three years. i follow more of a vegan raw. You should search the site. There are tons of people who have asked and gotten responses.
I am not sure week would be long enough though. When I changed to raw, my chef advised me to give it a month before deciding. that was three years ago.

I'm considering giving the paleo diet a try, first giving it a week-long run just to see how (if) it'd work for me. I was wondering if anyone here has tried it and has any tips or meal ideas?
For those who don't know, the paleo diet consists of unprocessed foods, such as fish, meat, eggs, nuts, fruit, and vegetables - think of what cavemen would eat - and excludes dairy, grains, legumes, excess sugar, and vegetable oils.
