That's the middle one I believe? So are you using it daily, and is it easy to walk on, and is it helping you to lose weight?

They had a 'try it before you buy it' thing going for a while. Not sure how it worked exactly, but I believe they would ship it to you, you could try it for a month, and then either ship it back or keep it and start payments. My boyfriend already had one when I moved in, so it sort of 'came with the house' in my case.

I haven't seen it in very many gyms, but the big one here in town does have a couple, I'm told. If you call around you may be able to find a gym that has one that you can try. And I do know that the place that I bought the elliptical from, way back when, had a rental program as well.

I wish you success in your quest! I wouldn't want to drop that kind of money on a machine without trying it out first either.

THANKS for your input!! That really is funny about the clothes hanger! I have an exercise bike where I would put the climber. I made it a promise to NOT hang clothes on it, and I haven't, but I also don't ride it! DUMB.....the climber is SO expensive and why I wondered after it.

I have gym membership, but that requires driving over there, when I would rather stay home. It is only $24 a month, so I would not dump it as new memberships are over $40 now.

Still I would like to try one of these out before coughing up over $3,000!

I have one, and I love it. Whether or not I've lost more weight or received a better work out by using it, I can't tell you, since I don't have anything to compare it to.

I can say that, with my knee problems, I had a lot less difficulty using the treadclimber than I've experienced in the past using either an elliptical or a regular treadmill.

As for the claims on the website for the treadclimber....I generally take ANY fitness claims with a grain of salt or three. What's important to me is whether or not I'm comfortable using the equipment and whether I enjoy it enough to keep doing it. For me, the treadclimber is the only piece of fitness equipment I've ever owned that didn't rapidly become a clothing hanger or dust catcher.

I am sure the machine itself is fine, but don't believe the commercial when they say that they lost 50 pounds or more while exercising on it. Any machine that tells me i am going to lose that much weight, I would take the testimonies with a grain of salt.

I didn't see any disclaimers on the site that these participants also followed a healthy diet.

OH I so TOTALLY agree....and have wondered if there is a place to try it out. Have to go to Sprt Authority, and see if they have one. LOT of money to not try it first. My curiosity....if it is so great, how come we don't see these in my GYM?!

HI SUNNYARIZONA,

While I do not have one, nor have I tried one out, my suggestion is to see if you can locate a store in your area that carries it if you are interested in trying it out. I would be reluctant to buy a piece of exercise equipment without first trying it out.

Hopefully someone who owns one will be able to give you a nice review on it.

Curious if it is really what it cracks up to be...
