Candace i added you as a sparkfriend too! congrats on getting married! How's newlywed life?

Yes, eating gluten free keeps me eating healthy! almost all junk food has wheat in it, it seems. But i can still eat carbs! I can have rice, potatos, and gluten free pastas! so i still need to watch what i eat in the carb department!!!

So today is going good so far! Been doing a lot of walking around today. I am going to try and do a Jillian Micheals workout video tonight since i cant go to the gym. Have back to school night for my son tonight. It's 11:30am right now and i have 4500 steps so far per my Fitbit. So doing good!! my goal is 15,000 a day at least. However, today i feel a little tired. Maybe need to up my protein!

I do LOVE whole foods! but its soooooo expensive! I treat myself to it sometimes! Hope everyone is doing good! stay motivated!!! My goal today is not to eat anything after dinner!

Hi Liz! I've added you as a sparkfriend, please feel free to do the same! It's nice to be able to 'check in' with someone and know who you're talking to. :)

I'm a newlywed ... well, kind of. My one year anniversary will be in October. I not a mommy yet, but we're trying and my journey to become healthier will hopefully aid us in conceiving a little one.

I'll bet it keeps you eating healthy. That's pretty much a goodbye to carbs, isn't it? Are there certain kinds of pastas you can eat?

I moved to the middle of nowhere from a large metropolitan city and one of the things I miss most is the grocery stores like Whole Foods. We had Central Market in TX and it was amazing. But the trade off here is road side produce stands, and seafood galore.

You feeling motivated today?

For exercise I mostly am just walking for now.

I went to a nutritionist. They told me i was allergic to it. When i eat a lot of gluten it messes up my stomach, i get anxious, and my face breaks out in acne really bad. I was told there are a lot of people who are sensitive to it that don't even know it. It's not the most fun diet. But it really keeps me eating healthy. However i have found some really good gluten free chocolate chip cookies at Trader Joe's. Which i will be staying away from for a very long time!

Also what do you guys do for exercise? This whole last year i have been really lazy. So im kinda starting from the bottom exercise wise. (however i am a little athletic) I've been going to the gym a few times a week, doing the treadmill. I've just been walking so far, but i think thursday i will try and jog some! Want to get back into running eventually.

Sounds like you're doing good. I try to keep something super healthy but filling on hand for the evenings for myself. Right now it's roasted brussel sprouts. In a few days I will never want to see another brussel in my life. How do you know if you are sensitive to gluten? You don't have to answer if you'd rather not. I'm just curious.

I saw an interesting article regarding that gluten diet. It was interesting because the percentage of peeps that are sensitive are really low!

Glad to see im not alone! I think my biggest problem is over eating at night. However this last week i have been extremely good. Also i am sensitive to Gluten, so i've also been on a gluten free diet for the past week. Its hard but i am going to stick to it!

Hi. I'm getting a bit nervous trying to figure out how to be not generic, but that might just be that I'm socially awkward. Hey look, we do have something in common. I'm also in my 30s and I have a daughter, a two year old, very sassy. I would be happy to encourage you.

Hello! Liz here, im 30. I've used sparkpeople for many years. However, i have never made use of the message boards. I have a hard time finding people who relate. People will say hello, then it goes nowhere or i just get the generic "welcome" from the "welcomers" Maybe im just socially ackward? who knows, but im sure there are others out there like me! So here i am ready to find some spark people friends for support and hope to make it stick! I have about 100 lbs to lose, and i feel good! I feel like im really ready! Been doing great for a whole week and have already lost a few lbs! So anyone out there wanna keep a good chat going and encourage eachother? Lets do it! A little about me. I am Married and have a son! I go to school part. I love to exercise but usually sabotage it with food! So i am here to get my nutrition in check and stick to my daily calorie range! I can do it! Hope to hear from some of you!!
