I got married in 1961 and was 70 in June 2011. I'm still active, eat healthy and labs perfect according to doctor. He said he wished all his patients were as healthy as I am. Just watch diet and exercise. Eat your fruit and veggies and keep exercising. The only problem is I eat too many healthy foods and have to watch calories and carbs.
I just turned 50 in July! I am loving the freedom that growing older has given me! I have a great life and husband (probably why I have a great life) and know that I want to be around along time to enjoy it. My family history is all about diabetes and heart problems and being 100 lbs over weight is just not a good thing!!

I will be 50 on December 19 this year. I love being this age. My biological father didn't live to this age and my maternal grandmother died 4 years past the age of 50. Both had very unhealthy lifestyles. I wanted to make a change starting in my 49th year. I may not be able to change my fate if my fate is to die as young as they did but I'm going to be able to get out and enjoy every day that i have unlike them. I'm very comfortable in my skin at 50, far more comfortable than I was in my 20's, 30's or 40's. The best is yet to come :-D
