Sauerkraut pierogis are my favorite!! I can only eat them one of two ways. I either saute some onions and serve them on top or eat them with light sour cream. Light sour cream isn't that bad, it's 40 calories and 2.5g of fat for 2 tbs and I really can't tell the difference taste wise.

My mom sent me up some homemade sauerkraut and I have a couple potatoes I need to use up so I'm going to try my hand at making pierogis sometime next week.
My normal methods for serving them is in a butter or cream based sauce, but I'd love suggestions on a healthier yet tasty presentation.
