Thank you for replying!
Over the years I have been involved with March of Dimes Walk (10K) and Breast Cancer Relays always have walked on those events (5K or 10K) I just walked the a 5K Making Strides for Breast Cancer last Saturday. I always feel so good when I do one of these type of walks for two reason I feel invigorated physically but I know in my heart I'm doing something good for others.
This time around after loosing some of my extra baggage and keeping active now for about a year I'm doing the 8 Week Rookie Running Training Program that is in SparkPeople, I'm on my 4th week of training and so far I'm doing better and better. I have 2 other Spark Friends that walk with me in our area and we do 4 miles every Saturday morning.
I was thinking to jog some of the way so they can see my posture and if there is anything I need to correct...(treadmill does not talk back to me) but I'm sure they will.
I have a 5K run in Nov 17th, the terrain is good and I think I can do it but it is my first ever run event and I just turn 60. I already have figure if I can't run the whole way I can do walk / run.
Again thank you! Good luck in your ventures and have fun!

I did one a few weeks ago. Had to walk up hills, but pretty much jogged the rest...very slowly! My goal is to run the distance one of these days.

If you are participating on any 5K Walk or Run I like to hear from you.
