My ankle really bothers me too; it was a pretty severe sprain, about 3 years ago. It still swells up randomly!

Anyway, here's a routine that has really helped me, and may help you:

This one's also good for shin splints.

I need a good, but gentle stretch for the inner ankle and achilles area. I have a 30 year old basketball ankle injury that is still sometimes bothersome-ankle gets stiff and sore. This makes my achilles tendon tighten up. Thanks for any suggestions! emoticon
