Watched it a couple of seasons when it first started, but as usual with most reality shows, I get tired of them. Lost interest in Survivor, DWTS, etc. I do keep up with the Bach shows, however, and with Next Food Network Stars. Talent shows should be more like the Gong Show used to be!

I've watched it every year but the show is getting old and I do believe this year had the best talent of any year. The right person won in my opinion. She poured her heart into those performances. In the early years there were some very untalented singers in the top ten. I think it was planned that way so they could be easily discarded, making way for who the producers wanted to win.
I know I'm in the minority, but to me, Clay Aiken had the best voice ever in that show.

I really never got into it. However, some decent talent has come out of it: Kelly Clarkson, Katherine McPhee, Adam Lambert, Phillip Phillips and that Scotty guy. I honestly wish American Idol would go away. Since the original judging panel split, it's not good.

I use to watch American Idol but I don't any more.. Not as interesting....
I'm just not interested to watch American Idol as I think a lot of the contestants are just not star material! The only person I'm a fan of is Katharine McPhee. She's pretty and talented but otherwise, a lot of the contestants are just blah!
Do you watch American Idol? I just don't bother! I get it that it gives opportunity for the ordinary man or woman to achieve stardom but please, there just has to be standards! A lot of them are just not attractive enough! What say you?
